Acces to the facility is prohibited for persons with pacemakers, defibrillators, hearing aids, insulin pumps or medication dipensers.

It is prohibited to approach the equipent with credit cards, implants or metal parts in the body, watches, mobile pones, computers or any data storage device.

Access is prohibited to the lower floor of the MRI room and access to the second PET/MRI room with ferromagnetic objects or metal ítems of any kind (surgical instruments, keys, scissors, coins…)

2. Assay request:

  • After the initial contact, facility will provide the assay request with the dates, estimated dudget and the acquisitions.  

3. Samples shipment

  • "ex vivo", "in vitro"samples... will be receptioned from 9.00 to 15.00h and will be storaged a -80ºC or the indicated temperatura by the user.
  • To perform studies with research animals from outside the centre, the following documentation must be submitted to the IIBM animal facility:   
    • PROEX, where the approval of the imaging procedure appears in the IIBM.
    • Health certificate for the animal facility or facility of origin.
    • Duly completed animal import/export form provided by the animal facility.

Once the animals have been authorised for stabling, they will be shipped on the agreed date. To ensure the animals are received and stabled correctly, they must be shipped on working days during morning hours (8am-3pm).
