Live Experiments

The SEMOC is equipped with three live-cell imaging platforms with environmental incubation systems, enabling in vivo and time-lapse experiments under stable physiological conditions during prolonged image acquisition. These systems allow real-time monitoring of dynamic cellular processes such as proliferation, migration, differentiation, response to treatments, and fluorescent protein expression.

Available microscopes with incubation systems:

  1. Stellaris 8 Tau STED Spectral Confocal Microscope (Leica)

    • OKOLAB incubation system.
    • Environmental control for live-cell imaging experiments using high-resolution confocal microscopy.
  2. LSM710 Spectral Confocal Microscope (Zeiss)

    • IBIDI incubation system for live samples and cell cultures.
    • Suitable for dynamic studies using confocal microscopy and time-lapse acquisition.
  3. Cell Observer (Observer.Z1, Zeiss)

    • PECON incubation system with temperature, CO₂, and humidity control.
    • Specifically designed for long-term live-cell imaging experiments, including cell migration and wound healing assays.
