Advances and Perspectives in Cancer
The second Symposium on Biomedical Research organized jointly by the Instituto de Investigaciones Biomédicas "Alberto Sols" (CSIC-UAM) and the School of Medicine (UAM) will take place on April 17, 2015. The Symposium will be held in Madrid, at the Campus of the School of Medicine and will focus on the "Advances and Perspectives in Cancer". Basic and clinical scientists will present state of the art research in the field of oncology with particular emphasis in the transmission of new scientific findings into clinical practice. Specific topics presented will include targeting of the Notch pathway in lung cancer, inflammation and cancer, epithelial cell plasticity and tumour progression, translational breast cancer research, targeting cancer stem cells and metastatic progression and oncolytic viruses and stem cells in pediatric cancer therapy.
