1987 she won the competition for tenured scientist at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and was promoted as senior scientist in 2006

Visiting scientist at Harvard Medical School in Boston, USA (1999-2000), and at the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden

Research Activity
Molecular action of the nuclear receptors on nerve cell proliferation and differentiation. Major contributions are the description of several genes whose expression is controlled by thyroid hormone during brain development, in particular the myelin protein genes and the neurotrophin receptor trkB
