Visit of the President of CSIC to the IIBM

The Instituto de Investigaciones Biomédicas "Alberto Sols" (IIBM), a joint center of the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) and the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), was visited by the President of the CSIC, Rosa Menéndez, on October 13. The President was accompanied by the Vice-President for Scientific and Technical Research (VICYT), Jesús Marco, and the Vice-President for International Relations (VRI), Ángeles Gómez and was received by IIBM director Mario Vallejo, deputy director Aurora Sánchez, and manager Isabel Ocaña. The Instituto de Investigaciones Biomédicas "Alberto Sols" (IIBM), a joint center from the "Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) and he Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM). Actually, IIBM is one of the most important Biomedical Research Centers in Spain. The scientific aims are distributed according to the 3 Research Areas of the Institute Physiopathology, Metabolism and Cell Signalling, and Cancer Biology, besides teaching is a very important part of our activities.
