Constanza Contreras editor of the book Thyroid Hormones

  • The book Thyroid Hormones is an essential work on advanced protocols in the study of thyroid hormones

Constanza Contreras Jurado has contributed as editor in the publication of the book of protocols “Thyroid Hormones”, belonging to the renowned Springer Protocols series “Methods in Molecular Biology”. This work, structured in six parts, includes 16 detailed protocols related to thyroid hormones, their transporters and receptors, addressing a wide range of methodologies. From conventional techniques to the most advanced technologies, the book provides tools for in vitro and in vivo studies, using various cellular models, experimental animals and, in addition, chapters focused on clinical practice in humans.

Constanza Contreras Jurado completed a 10-year postdoctoral stay in the laboratory of Dr. Ana Aranda, at the Instituto de Investigaciones Biomédicas Sols-Morreale (IIBM), CSIC-UAM, during which she conducted in-depth research on thyroid hormones. Constanza is currently working in the Management area at the same center.

The book has benefited from the valuable collaboration of several members of this institute, such as Ana Aranda Iriarte, Ana Guadaño-Ferraz, Ana Montero Pedrazuela, Darío Cilleros Rodríguez, Marina Guillén Yunta, Marina Lasa and Soledad Bárez López, whose extensive experience in the subject has been fundamental in guaranteeing the quality and depth of the contents presented.
